PermitWacker from M2SI introduces a new concept in permitting solutions, offering the unique ability to add permits from a single screen, with automatic fee calculations common to the building industry. This is called the Permit Wizard.
The user is allowed to enter field and column descriptions to suit their needs, without having to pay for custom changes or being concerned about confusing and expensive updates.
Internet innovations will also be found in this software, starting with website viewing of permits and inspection status.
Numerous new features can be found in PermitWacker. The Building Official determines predefined Fee Plans. Users simply select the appropriate Fee Plan during Wizard permitting to automatically calculate the fees for a single permit or multiple permits. These are then generated in numerical order, complete with separate fee calculations by permit.
The user has access to an unlimited number of General Ledger Accounts along with an unlimited number of Fee Calculations for any given permit.
Contractors and permitting personnel can determine the value of escrow and other charge accounts. This can be viewed for one project or many projects.
Additional user-defined, data-entry fields may be added to all databases. Helpful hints may also be entered into the bottom portion of each screen.
Users can create and access Microsoft Word documents, within PermitWacker, for Permits, Certificates Of Occupancy / Completion, Inspection Requests, and any other documents deemed necessary.
Microsoft Word documents and other incoming electronic files / documents can be added to any contractor, property, permit, or inspection record.
No longer will users in one part of the country have to be concerned about varying Construction and Occupancy Types. PermitWacker has solved that problem by allowing the user to not only define the field descriptions but also setup an unlimited number of tables that could also be used for local types, not common to Model Code Standards.
Regardless of which Model Code you may be using, PermitWacker provides you with the ability to create any combination of Construction and Occupancy Types in the Square Footage folders, using your own labels. This allows PermitWacker to be Model Code independent.
User may have as many fixture schedules, setting up a generic schedule, with the unique ability to add, copy, rename, and remove tables as desired. Within each fixture schedule, you may also insert and delete line items, with an auto sort, based on user defined line numbers.
In addition, the same features apply to the valuation schedules for copy, rename, and remove options.
These features reduce the time required to start using the Permit Wizard.
